Greetings!
Welcome to The Work/Life Monitor Newsletter, Happy Holidays!
This is the time of year we reflect on what was, what is and
contemplate what will be. No matter the course your life has taken we
might all agree on one thing: the exposure to sensory overload has grown
in our lives exponentially.
Infomania has hit a new high with new
media and technology that has us at a tipping point. The trick is to
navigate the communication stream and cultivate our inner resilience so
we're more efficient and effective in our business and home lives.
With that I'd like to suggest a great holiday gift. The Gift of
Stillness...either to yourself or others! It's a rough time of the year to
balance work and life so I'm offering my CD - PRACTICAL
CHAOS: Reflections on Resilience with free shipping for the holidays
if ordered by December 14th. (Click
Here for more details) It's designed to help build your inner
warehouse of energy while staying in a peaceful mode.
And to kick
off the year with passion, join me in January at the Women
That Win conference in Boca Raton, A New Year, A New You: Tools
for Living a More Centered, Passionate and Purposeful Life. In this
issue, The WorkLife Minute and Innovative Integrator carry the theme of
prosperity as we set the tone for 2008.
Here's to being Human! All my Best, Judy

The term "WorkLife Balance" has been getting some heat lately, as
most would agree it's a hard goal to achieve, but I think companies
across the globe have adopted the term by default for lack of a better
phrase. The bottom line is that corporate America faces a dilemma - the
job market is tightening, there are concerns about employee retention, and
evidence points to the importance of employee engagement as a benchmark
for productivity.
So no matter the phrase or verbiage, employers
are looking for new ways to retain their workers whether it be flexible
working hours, part-time work or offering meditation or yoga
classes.
WorkLife Balance Initiatives was the theme at a National
Association for Mothers' Centers conference on Long Island last month. I
spoke on WorkLife Resilience in a 24/7 World to more then 250
people who acknowledged by mere attendance, that worklife culture is a
topic of great interest. I suspect we'll be hearing a lot more on this
topic.Click

PRACTICAL CHAOS TIPS |

Holiday WorkLife Balance: Using a Practical Approach to Cultivate
Resilience.
The holiday season is billed a joyful time by a
lot of what we see and hear around us. The decorations, cheerful music,
gift giving etc. It's the fun kind of sensory stimulation that takes our
minds off the daily workload - even for a little bit.
But in our
24/7 world, we are still bombarded with sensory overload which impacts our
minds, hearts and bodies. That's why it's a good time to cultivate
resilience techniques to release what needs to go from 2007 - and recharge
for next year to set the stage for a successful career.
I wanted to
share some insights from the lessons on my CD - PRACTICAL CHAOS:
Reflections on Resilience, (Click
Here for more information) which takes the listener through three
breathing exercises to conquer chaos and cultivate an inner warehouse of
stillness. The program tracks can be used as simple breathing techniques,
guided meditation or as contemplative exercises. Whatever works for you.
You can purchase the CD in a special holiday offer at the close of this
newsletter.

Here's what Life
Coach Priscilla Palmer had to say about PRACTICAL CHAOS: Reflections
on Resilience.
"In today's high paced world the stress can
become seemingly unbearable, causing feelings of panic and overwhelm. Judy
Martin's PRACTICAL CHAOS: Reflections on Resilience is the perfect
resource to teach us how to successfully engage when the pressures of life
threaten to close in around us."
