Welcome to The Work/Life Monitor, featuring the latest news on cutting-edge business innovations, insights from visionary thinkers, and jewels of inspiration to make Work/Life integration a more positive journey of exploration. Then, hear what some companies are doing to integrate ethical and spiritual values into the workplace in my coverage from the International Spirit at Work Awards Conference. TV News anchor Trish Bergin joins us in this month's Work/Life Minute. And, in the Innovative Integrator segment, Sandy Grason, author of Journalution, talks about the benefits of journaling to manifest a better attitude toward typical Work/Life dilemmas. Plus... PRACTICAL CHAOS TIPS - thoughts as we head into Thanksgiving. Cultivating gratitude and the sometimes elusive virtue of patience as we head into the workplace during the holidays. I welcome your ideas and input and invite you to join me at upcoming events. You can get more information at www.judymartinspeaks.com. Here's to being Human! All my Best, Judy
OneVoice Coalition makes waves in New York
City. The Coalition partnered with the Alliance for a New
Humanity for an interactive event designed
to bring individuals and organizations together to
positively impact the social fabric of New York. The
purpose of
the Coalition is not to merge organizations, but
rather to find the common ground that will allow
these groups to use their collective power to raise
social awareness locally and globally. In a dialogue,
authors Deepak
Chopra and Andrew Cohen joined me
to discuss how individuals can make the desire for
social change part of their core value system. The International Spirit at Work Awards
Conference. Father Joe Pereira accepted the
award on behalf of pharmaceutical company Nicholas
Piramal India Ltd. of Mumbai, India. Kim Proctor, Chief Customer Officer at Spirit
on the Job, actively supports the discussion of
sprituality within the workplace. Her interactive site
is dedicated to
exploring practices and protocols of a spiritually
atuned workplace. Rob Katz, CEO of
Spiritpower came from South Africa
to attend the conference. Katz coaches
CEO’s and senior management on igniting spiritual
leadership and exploring core key values within
upper management. While Katz says he often speaks
freely of spirituality, the term
is often still difficult to
manage in business.
This month’s Work/Life Minute features television news anchor Trish Bergin. Trish like many working moms, lives moment to moment juggling the duties of motherhood and career. She is best known for her former work on the TV magazine program Inside Edition, but with three little boys, family often has to come first. Hear about her philosophy regarding Work/Life Integration.
